A New Chapter in My Professional Life

Hello gentle and loyal readers,

I wanted to share some news that happened a while back — I switched Library systems and now have a new position! I started back in August, so it’s been a little more than 6 months. Since I was with my last library system for almost the entirety of my career, I’ve been doing a lot of listening and learning lately.

I’m still in children’s services (yay!), and serving as the Senior Supervisor of Children’s Services for the system. This means I get to work with a great group of talented Children’s Librarians who work at different locations throughout the system.

It also means that my programming and responsibilities have shifted again, so I don’t know how often I will be doing storytime. But I will be filling in from time to time, and I hope to post about that here. I love having this as a resource to look back on and borrow from for storytimes going forward.

Hopefully you all still find it to be a useful resource as well, even though I am sure there are some newer, amazing storytime blogs out there. Speaking of which, if you have one of those newer, amazing storytime blogs, please let me know in the comments! I would love to check yours out.
